Today and tomorrow

One who does not light and consume his heart,
In future's joy or sorrow has no part.
That nation can not morrow's tumult face,
Which is destined to lose the present race.

Hari ini dan esok

Dia yang tidak menyalakan dan membakar hatinya sendiri,
Atas gemilang atau suram esok tidaklah dia berhak.
Tertakdir akan corot dalam perlumbaan hari ini,
Bangsa yang menyorok daripada esok yang berombak.
